White Spot at Morgan Crossing is a contemporary architectural expression applied to an enduring institution of west coast casual dining. Situated at the corner of 24th Ave and Croydon Drive in Surrey, the restaurant marks the entry point to the Morgan Crossing community and serves as its most visible connection to 24th Avenue.
The building’s massing is composed of two distinct elements that resolve an unconventional triangular corner site. A rectangular box housing kitchen and back-of-house are intersected by a sloping triangular volume containing the dining and bar/lounge spaces. The dining and lounge space continues outside to a patio space extending to the south-west sheltered by a glass-clad Glulam canopy structure creating a strong pedestrian relationship between building and public realm.
