The Onyx (1296 Station St)

Situated on a corner site, at Terminal and Station Street, the design of this new office building is a balance of planning efficiency and place-making. Adjacent to the Pacific Central Station, the epi-centre of how Vancouver grew, the architecture of this building called for someone of equal calibre.

The building is comprised of a series of 3 volumes, frozen in a ready state of motion, the building form has been manipulated to address the Skytrain set-back and orient the tenants to maximize views and reduce shadowing over Thornton Park. The design is a (13) storey office, comprising of commercial use, amenity decks, roof terrace, retail at ground floor and (6) levels of underground parking. To address the street corner a new landscape and retail promenade have been designed to activate this area. The building is targeting LEED Gold.
