The Village at Park Royal
The Village at Park Royal
The Village at Park Royal is located on an 18-acre parcel adjacent to West Vancouver’s Park Royal Shopping Centre and is Canada’s first award-winning lifestyle centre. This landmark 245,000 sq. ft. development, planned by F&A Architects of California and Musson Cattell Mackey Partnership, offers 35 unique shops, including Western Canada’s first Whole Foods Market and a new Home Depot urban concept store.
The complex consists of nine distinct buildings ranging in size from 9,600 to 72,000 sq. ft. The Village is pedestrian friendly, upscale urban village where people can walk between shops, restaurants and outdoor spaces on a “Main Street”. The architecture of the Village is designed to honour the cultural history of the West Coast and recall the turn of the century fishing villages that dotted the shores of BC’s coastline.

South Surrey Combined Developments
South Surrey Combined Developments
Located in Surrey’s Grandview Heights neighborhood, this distinctive mixed-use master plan brings together residential, commercial, and office spaces across several parcels along 156 Street, 28 Avenue, and Croydon Drive. Its strategic location near King George Boulevard’s Frequent Transit Corridor ensures strong connectivity to Surrey City Centre and South Surrey, supporting a pedestrian-oriented, transit-accessible lifestyle. Developed in collaboration with the City of Surrey and Metro Vancouver, the project transitions the site’s land use designation from “Mixed Employment” to “General Urban,” aligning with the City’s long-term vision to create vibrant, livable, and economically diverse communities. The plan emphasizes accessibility, sustainability, and urban integration through thoughtful connections to nearby schools, parks, and retail centers.
The development’s design concept centers on a holistic integration of public space, ecological infrastructure, and social vitality. Anchored by a landscape network that reimagines the BC Hydro corridor as a shared community amenity, the project introduces features such as orchards, picnic shelters, play zones, and sports courts to foster recreation and connection. A stormwater wetland and native plantings merge sustainability with experiential design, while tree-lined allées, and planted terraces enhance the pedestrian experience. Sustainability is deeply embedded in the project’s design approach, with green infrastructure, rainwater management systems, and native planting strategies minimizing environmental impact and promoting long-term ecological health. What sets this development apart is its seamless blend of environmental stewardship and urban livability—creating a resilient, multi-generational neighborhood that celebrates both human and ecological well-being.
