Canadian Pacific’s first new hotel in over 100 years was designed to be the focal point of the Whistler Blackcomb Village. The ski and snowboard runs land at the quad chair lift on the doorstep of the Hotel.

The New York Times described the Chateau as North America’s finest ski resort hotel.

At the initial launch of the hotel, the architectural joint-venture partner was Downs Archambault Partners (now DA Architect + Partners).
