Residential
The Centro
Vancouver, BC
This 15-storey condominium tower rests on a 4-storey retail and office base facing the corner opposite the Vancouver public transit system's Joyce Street Skytrain station. This development acts as the introduction to the residential area known as Collingwood Village.
The Centro's three office floors, between 10,000 and 15,000 square feet, are located above the street-oriented retail and are expressed in brick with precast accents, culminating with a half-rounded corner.
The Centro's residential tower of 127 units is based on smaller affordable units, the majority being 1-bedroom with studio and 2-bedroom units, making up the complement of 10 units per floor. The tower is stucco on concrete with bold colours expressing individual aspects of the massing. Prominent canopies accent the entry and top of the building.
