The George

Prominently situated on a sloping site on the westerly approach to Vancouver's downtown core, this 23-storey residential tower was completed in November 2002. It is shares a city block and is adjacent to the recently upgraded "Georgian Towers", a newly renovated slab-style apartment building constructed in the 1950's.
The new tower is given a contemporary expression through its massing, detailing, and extent of glazing, while achieving compatibility with the existing building through a common palette of materials and colours. Extensive gardens and landscaping, both between the towers and around the perimeter of the block, further unify the whole project.
Accommodation ranges from efficient one-bedroom units, through two-bedroom layouts, to larger two-level penthouses and three-bedroom town homes. The project also features a two level entry lobby accessible from both Georgia and Alberni streets, as well as a large amenity space adjacent to the main lobby.
