The physical characteristics, both natural and built, vary considerably across these projects, as does the specific scope and mix of proposed development. Each one, however, involved working as a member of a team to devise strategies for constructing buildings in an integrated manner over time that would result in something greater than the sum of the parts. To excel in this field requires vision, planning and design ability on a conceptual, high-level scale, practical knowledge of how buildings and the infrastructure that supports them actually works, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
